The Company

A full line pharmaceutical wholesaler/distributor of medicine, surgical, clinical and consumer products in Namibia has a vacancy for an HR Assistant.

 

Overview:

The incumbents responsibilities will be assisting the Human Resource Practitioner with the complete human resources function within the company. This includes clerical and administrative support, compile, and update employee’s records, process documentation and assist with personnel activities. The incumbent will also assist with employee requests regarding HR issues, and implementation of HR policies and procedures. Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data. To be an administrative support to Nampharm’s third parties etc., Pension Fund, Medical Aid, NTA, Social Security and Staff Hiring Companies. Ensure accurate filing of all pertinent records and correspondence.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:

  • Relevant degree or equivalent tertiary qualification
  • A Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Relevant flied.
  • Specialized knowledge of appropriate legislation
  • Code BE Driver’s License
  • Grade 12 is compulsory

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Nurture a positive working environment and maintain relationships throughout departments.
  • Assist with arranging and maintaining leadership programs
  • Ensure all employees understand their responsibilities to maintain productivity and efficiency in all departments
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
  • Assist with developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Assist with the Management of Industrial Relations by ensuring that firm, fair and consistent labour practice, and procedures are implemented to encourage positive employee relations.
  • Assist with the management of recruitment, and all relevant recruitment procedures and policies.
  • Assist with identifying staff with potential for advancement, in consultation with the line manager.
  • Responsible for Payroll preparation
  • Monitors and follows up on the Learning and Development progress and completion of training plans
  • Assist with and investigate incidents based on the approved QMS and CAPA procedures.
  • Assist, guide and action Disciplinary Action based on deviation reports
  • Assist with the development and initiation of staff welfare programs to maintain the Nampharm Culture

COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS

  • Language skills: English & Afrikaans
  • Leadership skills: Be decisive, able to give direction and to guide others, strategic thinking, exceptional time management skills.
  • Mathematical skills: Adequate comprehension of basic mathematics skills
  • Communication skill: The employee must be able to communicate with subordinates, fellow employees, and superiors.
  • Physical demands: The employee should be in a healthy physical condition.
