An exciting opportunity exists for a Specialist: Training and Organizational Development, reporting to the Manager, Human Resources. The primary purpose of this role is to manage the training and organizational development functions and related activities that supports the goals and objectives of the mine.

 

Key Performance Areas:

  • Maintaining HSE standards with the commitment to reduce injuries and implement HSE improvement plans.
  • Ensure that appropriate programmes are designed and implemented for the effective management of training and OD processes.
  • Collaborating with business stakeholders on learning solutions which build capability and deliver the required skills and competencies.
  • Developing and implementing strategies which fosters and enable a high performing work culture.
  • Develop initiatives which sustains an organisational culture, aligned to the overall Rӧssing purpose statement.
  • Leveraging on the learning management system and turn it into a powerful tool to achieve a high performing work culture.
  • Conduct job evaluations, psychometric assessments and develop a curriculum for technical skills training at the mine.
  • Prepare and control the annual training budget and monitor expenditure on a monthly.
  • Establish a formal business improvement system and process to drive improvement.

Requirements and experience:

  • Bachelor/BTech degree in Human Resources Management or Industrial Psychology or Organizational Development (NQF level 7) with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in the training and organizational development environment which 3 years should have been on a supervisory role. OR
  • A Three-Year National Diploma in Human Resources Management or Industrial Psychology or Organizational Development (NQF Level 6). with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the training and organizational development environment which 5 years should have been on a supervisory role.
  • A valid Code B driver’s licence.
  • A Police certificate of conduct of not order than six months is required. A record will not automatically disqualify candidates.

Other qualification (prerequisite)

  • Experience in SAP Success Factors (PM and LMS)

Other qualifications (added advantage)

  • Certificate in Storyline software packages
  • Registered Psychometrician

Required Competencies and Skills

  • Extensive experience in analysing HRIS and HR performance metrics.
  • Ability to collaborate, provide technical support, and train staff.
  • Proficiency in HRM software, such as Workday HCM, Criterion HCM, and purely HR.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High stress tolerance skills.
  • Office administration – MSWord and Excel
