Introduction
The Business Analyst is the functional expert on the specified project or processes; he/she will be the point of contact between the business unit Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Information Technology Platform Specialists and will work closely with the Process Owners, Department Managers, and other stakeholders to improve and align processes with the business objectives. The Business Analyst should collaborate with project, product, and process management stakeholders to analyse and evaluate current and future business processes to identify areas of improvement and enhance organizational efficiency.
Job description
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (KPA’s)
Determines operational objectives by studying business objectives and functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.
Improves systems and processes by analyzing requirements; constructing workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; identifying issues and risks and writing process specifications.
Documents processes, procedures and workflows and develops clear and detailed process maps and requirements.
Contributes toward and assists with business process management duties.
Provides references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation; train-the-trainer.
Prepares technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing process optimization solutions.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; webinars; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
People Management
Effectively involve co-workers in efficient and effective problem resolution within a team atmosphere.
Assists and support team members in their respective roles and functions.
Provides advice, guidance, and support to team members.
Customer Focus
Provide customer service and support in professional manner to Bank Windhoek as well as the various Capricorn Group companies and subsidiaries.

Minimum requirements
The job requires:
3 years experience in business analysis or similar role
Financial services industry experience preferred
Computer skills including good proficiency with Microsoft Project, Power BI, SharePoint, Microsoft Visio, BPM software and/or other project management tools as well as Microsoft Office Suite
Experience performing process improvement and optimization
Experience working using Agile methodologies
Exceptional conceptual and analytical skills
Demonstrate outside-the-box problem solving skills.
Excellent knowledge of banks systems and procedures
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Strong relationship building and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work without supervision.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12
B.Comm / B.Sc degree / Information Technology or relevant degree
Business Analysis / Data Analysis / Process Improvement or Project Management certifications will be an added advantage
