PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

The incumbent is responsible for the operational management and supervision of the Ambient Warehouse and Returns Department. This includes stock on a daily, weekly and monthly basis and to implement, manage and improve all processes and procedures to facilitate the effective and efficient operations within these departments.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Oversee entire returns process with the view of ensuring that prescribed processes are followed.
  • Implement strategy directives to drive cost reduction by means of periodical process reviews and re-engineering
  • Manage returns documents with discrepancies to and liaise with Debriefer to ensure that these are resolved timeously and that corrective/preventative measures are put in place
  • Reconcile returns received versus returns processed
  • Supervise stock rotation according to FIFO to prevent stocks ageing
  • Perform periodical stock counts and spot checks.
  • Identify system and stock related problems and engage with colleagues and service providers to address these
  • Liaise and communicate with all relevant stakeholders to ensure all orders are fulfilled and executed.
  • Supervise warehouse planning methods, warehouse storage and layout plans.
  • Supervise all inbound processes (Receiving of goods).
  • Maintain the warehouse for the purpose of maintaining an organized layout and safe work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:

  • 1-3 year Diploma/1-4 year Certificate in Transport & Logistics Management;
  • 3-5 years’ experience in operations MS Office (Excel), SAP, ERP and Fleet control systems will be an added advantage;
  • MS Office, SAP, knowledge in logistics;
  • Knowledge of cold chain in FMCG environment will be an advantage.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:  

The incumbent will provide leadership and drive strategic technical effectiveness within the Engineering Technical Department, within the Dairy industry. Overseeing upstream and downstream machinery processes including Utilities, Automation, Mechanical, Stores and ND Facilities, with the primary goal of driving an effective preventative maintenance approach and the optimization of mechanical infrastructure; to enable the attainment of production targets.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Manage planned and preventative maintenance on all equipment and/or machineries in accordance with SLA, regulations, and best practices.
  • Manage civil construction projects, infrastructure upgrade and maintenance support done under ND capital Budget to ensure optimum efficient operations.

  • Formulate strategies to monitor, assess, and optimize electricity and water consumption, aiming to reduce costs and improve overall efficiency.
  • Manage cost centre budget for engineering projects, including the procurement of necessary equipment, materials, and resources.
  • Forecast, compile, monitor and control cost centre and project budget to ensure spending is within budget parameters.
  • Manage contractors and supplier’s relations (customer feedback, availability of information) & leverage on those relations to guide procurement to ensure that all specifications and customer needs are incorporated in the Request for Quotation
  • Test prototypes to ensure compliance with safety standards & functionality requirements.
  • Produce accurate and timely data and reports aligned with agreed-upon metrics, for informed business decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards related to mechanical, electrical, boiler, Instrumentation systems and environmental compliance.
  • Establish quality control measures, conduct inspections, and implement corrective actions to maintain product quality and safety and environmental compliance.

Introduction:

An exciting opportunity exists for a Superintendent Asset Management reporting to the Manager Engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible to manage and oversee the life cycle of the asset from its design up to the point of disposal, ensuring asset management governance is implemented and enforced in the organisation from the point of design, correct equipment is procured, operate within its design, optimised, maintained correctly and finally disposed.

 

Key Performance Areas:

  • Maintaining HSE standards.
  • Supervising and ensuring that subordinates complete their tasks according to set plans, defines clear priorities to ensure production continuity.
  • Ensuring that long term and short-term maintenance plans are current and up to date including the asset tree, BOMS and master data.

  • Preparing and maintaining an Asset Integrity assessment for the mine and drives it to a fully working system where site risks is highlighted, reported to management.
  • Facilitating audits on the asset integrity system and ensure critical risk actions are managed and closed in due time.
  • Driving the Defects Elimination process through ensuring the analysis process of work management is followed through on a daily weekly and monthly basis.
  • Actively promoting company-wide standardization of operating procedures, forms, maintenance terminology and reporting formats to ensure assets are designed, procured, operated, optimised, maintained and disposed of correctly.
  • Ensuring the improvement of reliability of equipment, improvement of quality of workmanship and to increase the uptime for production purposes.

Requirements and experience:

  • Grade 12 certificate.
  • A recognized Bachelor / BEng / BTech degree in Mechanical /Mechatronic / Electrical Engineering (NQF Level 7/8) with a minimum of five (5) years working experience in a cross functional heavy industry/Plant maintenance/Asset management/Mining Maintenance environment of which three (3) years should have been on a supervisory/specialist level, OR
  • A recognized National Engineering Diploma (NQF Level 6) with a minimum of ten (10) years working experience in a cross functional heavy industry/Plant maintenance/Asset management/Mining Maintenance environment of which three (3) years should have been on a supervisory/specialist level.
  • Qualifications in Project management, Asset Management, Asset Reliability and Condition Monitoring would be an added advantage.
  • General understanding of Mechanical and Electrical equipment within a Heavy mining or plant or industry environment. Sound understanding of asset management strategies and maintenance practices with exceptional skills in SAP and the module Manage Physical Assets.
  • A valid Code B driver’s licence.
  • A Police certificate of conduct not older than six months is required. A record will not automatically disqualify candidates.
