Debmarine Namibia requires the services of a Database Administrator. The incumbent will be responsible for all aspects of a database, from database architecture design through implementation, administration, monitoring, tuning, backup configuration, recovery, migration, and support across the entire infrastructure.

IN YOUR ROLE AS A DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR, YOU WILL BE REQUIRED, AMONGST OTHERS, TO:

• Managing, monitoring, and maintaining company databases.
• Defining and implementing data management policies.
• Making requested changes, updates, and modifications to database structure and data.
• Ensuring database security, integrity, stability, and system availability.
• Maintaining database backup and recovery infrastructure.
• Designing database backup, archiving, disaster recovery, and storage strategy.
• Coordinate with IM Manager Technical Systems to customise database solutions.

IN YOUR ROLE AS A DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR, YOU WILL BE REQUIRED, AMONGST OTHERS, TO:

• National Diploma in computer science or related field specializing in Database Administration.
• Must have three years in SQL Database design (data modeling) and SQL Server Database Administration.
• Experience in the full life cycle of systems development/provisioning.
• Experience in managing multiple Microsoft SQL Server systems.
• Practical experience in the monitoring and tuning of databases to provide high availability service.
• Practical experience in managing Microsoft SQL Server database security models.
