Branch Manager: Agrimark & Expressmark Rehoboth

1. Main Function of the Role

The Branch Manager will report to the Senior Manager of Operations and will oversee all aspects of the branch operations. This includes managing the branch’s people, fostering a positive work environment, growing sales, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining operational efficiencies. The role is critical for driving branch success through effective leadership and management practices.

 

2. Key Performance Areas

The Branch Manager will be responsible for the following areas:

  • Customer Centricity: Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional service and building strong relationships.
  • Stock Management: Oversee inventory control to ensure availability and minimize losses.
  • Finance Management: Manage operational efficiencies, including budgeting and financial planning.
  • Branch Administration Management: Handle administrative duties and ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Branch Marketing Management: Develop and implement strategies to grow the branch’s market presence.
  • Human Resources Management: Oversee recruitment, training, and management of branch staff.
  • Loss Control and Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks to safeguard the branch’s resources.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Maintain a safe working environment for employees and customers.
  • General Housekeeping: Ensure the branch is clean, organized, and presentable at all times.

 

3. Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate should have the following:

  • 3-year tertiary education qualification in agriculture, commerce, or retail/wholesale (preferred).
  • Grade 12 certificate with at least 3-5 years of applied experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of agricultural procedures and the Agri SMART system.
  • Strong computer literacy, particularly in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with modern management techniques, best practices, and operational rules.
  • A Namibian citizenship status.
