SALARY SCALE : N$114,001 – N$115,202.00 – N$117,554.00
HOUSING ALLOWANCE : 20% of Basic Salary without Housing Bond
40% OF Basic Salary with Housing Bond
EMPLOYMENT TYPE : Permanent
Minimum Requirements
• Grade 12 with 25 points, Accounting as a subject, with a (D) symbol.
• Two years proven experience as a Cashier / Finance environment
• Diploma in Accounting or Finance will be an advantage.
• Be Computer literate
• Must be responsible and disciplined and able to work in a team.
Key Performance Areas
• Receive payments of accounts from public members
• Balance the cash received on a daily basis
• Posting of receipts to appropriate accounts i.e, debit cards, cashbooks ledger daily
• Receive monies for all service(s) rendered by the Council
• To write hand receipts or to operate a computerized till
• Ensure that receipts issued are in accordance with the payment received
• Handle some clerical work for accounting purposes
• Prepare daily cash-up and hand over the entire amount received to the Accountant
• Maintain accurate accounts system
• Prepare weekly reports
• Any other duties as may be assigned to him/her by the Supervisor.
