Engineer: Low Voltage Maintenance (D2) – CITY of WINDHOEK

Management of the maintenance functions of the entire City of Windhoek’s low voltage electrical network: 400V including the traffic lights and street lights as well as the capital projects regarding network rehabilitation and refurbishment.

• Management of the engineering function to support low voltage electrical network, traffic lights and streetlights maintenance.
• Implement Maintenance management systems for low voltage network assets.
• Plan for maintenance activities and resource planning.
• Network/Equipment condition-based monitoring, data audits and data collection for reliability and failure analysis, data interpretation and implementation of all applicable corrective, preventative or predictive maintenance.
• Supervise the work/job activities of staff members in the section.

BEng/BSc/B Tech Degree (Electrical Engineering) with specialisation in Electrical Power Engineering. A minimum period of three (3) years experience in high-medium and low voltage systems and maintenance. Code B Driver’s license and registration with the Engineering Council of Namibia as a Professional or Incorporated Engineer.
