Job Description Installation, commissioning and maintenance of all substation automation and telemetry equipment in 66 Kv substation for the HV and MV electrical distribution network for the City of Windhoek.
Key Performance Areas
  • Substation automation: Installation of all substation automation and telemetry equipment
  • Test and commissioning of substation automation and telemetry outstations
  • Maintain and repair substation automation, telemetry equipment and assist with regard to standby duties and switching.
  • Maintain, improve, trouble shoot, fiber network(wide area network), repair substation automation and telemetry systems.
  • Attend to all SCADA installations, commissioning and maintenance at the Control Centre and Substations.
  • Administrative, safety and any general relevant duties.
Skills, Experience & Education National Diploma in Electronic and Telecommunications Engineering OR National Diploma for Technicians: Electrical (Heavy Current) OR National Diploma: Power Engineering.

A minimum period of four (4) years in Electronic & Telecommunications Engineering, excluding theoretical training period towards qualifications.

Code B/BE Driver’s license and registration with the Engineering Council of Namibia as Engineering Technician.
