An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and dedicated Executive Assistant to the Managing Director. The primary purpose of this role is to provide high-level quality executive personal assistance and administrative support to the Managing Director as well as support to the Rӧssing Board of Directors, thereby ensuring the smooth functioning of the MD’s office.


Key Performance Areas:

  • Maintaining HSE standards with the commitment to reduce injuries and implement HSE
  • Build and maintain effective organizational culture by coordinating and leading the other PA’s and Office Administrators’ work.
  • Professionally manage the calendars and correspondences on behalf of the MD.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, including booking flights, suitable accommodation and transportation.
  • Maintain confidential information and prioritize conflicting needs.
  • Prepare and edit correspondences, communications, presentations, and other documents as required.
  • Collaborate effectively with other members of the Executive Management Team and the Rӧssing Board of Directors to ensure smooth operation of the MD’s Office.
  • Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and briefs for the Managing Director.
  • Apply discretion to proactively handle matters and follow-through on tasks to successful completion.

Requirements and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree at NQF Level 7 in Secretariate or Business Administration related discipline Or Three Year National Diploma at NQF level 6 in Secretariate or Business Administration related discipline.
  • Other qualifications (added advantage)
  • SAP Experience
  • For Degree Holders: Minimum of Five (5) years’ experience as a PA at Executive Level in a corporate environment.
  • For Diploma Holders: Minimum of Seven (7) years’ post-graduation experience as a PA at Executive Level in a corporate environment.
  • A valid Code B driver’s licence.
  • A Police certificate of conduct of not older than six months is required. A record will not automatically disqualify candidates.

Required Competencies and Skills

  • Knowledge and experience with complex travel and flight itineraries, particularly international travel/hotel bookings
  • Experience of working for Directors/ Senior Management
  • Excellent diary management with the ability to pre-empt and look ahead at all times
  • Essential experience in Microsoft Office – Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint
  • Ability to multitask and experience of dealing with a demanding role and high-level workload
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage time effectively and be proactive
