PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The Human Capital Operations Manager is responsible for the effective execution of HR programs to deliver the organisation’s strategy in line with Hartlief’s People Strategy.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Provide input into the overall HR Strategy for the Company.
- Provide input into the annual HR budget and monitor all HR related costs in line with the budget throughout the financial year.
- Implement effective recruitment and selection strategies to ensure the company has suitable talent that operates productively and effectively.
- Execute the end-to-end recruitment process from job postings to onboarding.
- Manage salary offers within the O&L Group’s Industry Specific Salary Scales to remain competitive in the Labour Market and to maintain Labour Costs.
- Manage the development initiative of Talent Pool candidates as identified on their Development Plans.
- Manage the talent capability to ensure a pipeline filled with talent for these positions.
- Coordinate development initiatives identified for all Talent Pool candidates and track the progress on their development plans.
- Identify and develop Learning and Development programs aligned to the Company’s L&D Strategy.
- Implement Employee Engagement programs aligned to the O&L Group Culture and O&L Persona to achieve the overall Employer of Choice vision.
- Manage and administer employee engagement surveys and implement strategies to address any shortcomings to maintain a healthy organisational Culture.
- Maintain accurate position data and organograms in HRIS to ensure the company has made provision for all required positions to execute the Organisational Strategy.
- Ensure all positions are documented and evaluated as per the Job Evaluation Policy before the beginning of each financial year.
- Handle employee relations issues, such as conflict resolution, disciplinary action, and grievances.
- Implement and communicate HR Policies and Procedures in the workplace.
- Assist the HR Manager with Wage Negotiations, Conciliation, and Arbitration cases.
- Responsible for Hartlief’s AA report & 3-year plan by executing the related actions throughout the reporting period in terms of statistical Reports and other requirements.
- Prepare HR reports for the HR Manager to influence Decision-making.
- Identify Training Needs and coordinate initiatives identified on employee’s development programs.
- Identify and develop Learning and Development programs aligned to the Company’s L&D Strategy.
- Implement and monitor compliance with the Employee Health & Wellness policies and procedures.
- Manage the Performance Management cycle in the Performance Management System.
- Responsible for the performance, discipline, development, and coaching of direct reports.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:
- Bachelors Degree in HR Management or Industrial Psychology.
- 6 years relevant experience in a similar environment of which 2 years should be on supervisor/managerial level.
- Professional knowledge in Human Capital, Organisational Development & Talent Management gained through tertiary education and significant relevant experience.
- Valid drivers license
