Job Description

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To operate machinery to produce the specified quality and quantity of aggregate products to meet production targets.

 

Key Performance Areas:

• Operate the Aggregate Crusher Plant and its attachments under various conditions, and execute instructions as directed by the Supervisor.
• Start or Stop plant and tear-down according to set procedures.
• Monitor and record production of various size classes produced by the Aggregate Crusher Plant.
• Maintain all equipment in good working order to ensure efficient operation. Log relevant information on the 24 hour reports using the modular system and logbook
• Operate auxiliary equipment to remove spillages and clean when the need arises.
• Communicate deviations observed to the relevant parties and Supervisors.

Requirements and experience:

• Grade 12 or current NSSCO with 20 points over 5 subjects.
• Mining experience will be an added advantage.
• Valid Code B/BE Driver’s License.
