Job Description PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Uses CAD/GIS in the maintenance of all detail drawings on CAD/GIS Systems to ensure that an efficient and reliable technical support function is provided and available to the Division and the Department.
Key Performance Areas KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

    • Uses computer aided design/Draughting System and related software to develop designs.
    • Responsible to set, implement and maintain GIS and Munsys standards within the Electricity Department.
    • Create and revise engineering drawings (Detail and assembly).
    • Create detailed multiview engineering drawings of electrical substation building and equipment.
    • Create and convert DXF Files.
    • Responsible for setting up and maintaining organized filing system for all drawings created by the Technical Support Division.
    • General administrative functions.
    • Liaise with communities in low income areas with regards to the provision of electrical services connections.
Skills, Experience & Education REQUIREMENTS:

Grade 12 (passed)

Experience requirement:

Two (2) years relevant job experience

Legal requirements:

A valid code B or BE drivers licence.
General SALARY: PATTERSON GRADE B5

BASIC SALARY = N$245,316.00 PA

HOUSING ALLOWANCE = N$110,388.00 PA

TRANSPORT ALLOWANCE = N$28,488.00 PA

MUNICIPAL ALLOWANCE = N$21,708.00 PA
