The Company

A full line pharmaceutical wholesaler/distributor of medicine, surgical, clinical and consumer products in Namibia has a vacancy for a Graphic Designer.



Procure and manage a portfolio of pharmaceutical products assigned to the buyer according to Nampharm’s Policies and Standard Operating Procedures. Adherence is strictly measured by means of Key Performance Indicators and will be reported monthly to the Head of the Pharma Division.



  • Registered Pharmacist with the HPCNA compulsory.
  • Experience with Procurement and Inventory Management.
  • In-depth knowledge of Namibian regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical products.
  • Knowledge of import/export procedures and documentation for registered and non-registered pharmaceutical products.
  • Grade 12 Certificate compulsory


  • Procure registered drugs and/or other products as determined by Nampharm while abiding to local and international laws governing the trade of medicines.
  • Negotiate with suppliers regarding trading terms, pricing etc. in accordance with Nampharm policies and KPI’s.
  • Assist Warehouse and Telesales personnel with product queries.
  • Place purchase orders with suppliers and manage stock under your portfolio and a continuous basis (stock levels, expiring stock, excess stock, stock pricing etc.).
  • Clearly communicate with suppliers as well as internally within Nampharm.
  • Work closely with Procurement Assistant regarding outstanding & partly received orders, pricing changes, out of stock products etc.
  • Liaise with Telesales with regards to product information and arrival dates of requested products.
  • Compiling the daily and monthly specials.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure favourable agreements.
  • Liaise daily with medical representatives & suppliers.
  • Maintain and improve relationships with suppliers.
  • Handling of S4 medication: Receiving, Dispensing, and balancing of Schedule 4 book (Red Book).
  • Be responsible “Pharmacist on Call” on a rotation basis for all after-hours emergency requests.


  • Excellent writing and communications skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market trends and data.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Be able to lead and motivate fellow employees and the reporting department
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Good overall health.
