Debmarine Namibia requires the services of a Psychological Counsellor. The incumbent will provide ethical, professional, and registered psychological counselling services, including clinical assessments, therapeutic interventions, and integrated wellness strategies, in compliance with Health Professions requirements.
Job Description
A PSYCHOLOGICAL COUNSELLOR AT DEBMARINE NAMIBIA:
- Provides on-site and virtual preventative and responsive psychological counselling services.
- Provides preventative and responsive mental health services.
- Conducts assessments and develops care plans.
- Designs and implements prevention and treatment programmes.
- Facilitates appropriate referrals and stakeholder collaboration.
- Recommends relevant programmes and tools to the Wellness Manager.
- Facilitates and conducts psychoeducation sessions, mental health campaigns and wellness events.
- Plans and facilitates team-building activities and wellness days to promote wellness and team effectiveness.
- Reviews, designs, and develops psychoeducational and training material.
- Coordinates and facilitate resilience building initiatives such as Mental Health First Aider training, awareness campaigns and promotes psychological safety.
- Supports pre- and post-assessment tools for intervention impact analysis.
- Maintains records and prepares reports focused on evaluating impact, to guide leadership decision-making and optimize resource allocation.

Qualifications
THE CANDIDATE MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor degree in Clinical Psychology.
- Formal registration as a Psychological Counsellor with accredited Health Professions Council.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience of which 3 years’ experience as psychological counsellor.
- Relevant experience working in a corporate environment will be an added advantage.
- Valid code BE driver’s license.
- Experience in program development
