The Company

A full line pharmaceutical wholesaler/distributor of medicine, surgical, clinical and consumer products in Namibia has a vacancy for a Graphic Designer.



The Quality Assurance Officer is an essential employee within the Quality Management System (QMS) department with key functions to ensure products and services meet the required standards and customer expectations are exceeded.



  • Grade 12 is compulsory.
  • A short course, diploma, or degree in quality management or related pharmaceutical or business qualifications will be advantageous.
  • Experience in the Pharmaceutical Wholesale industry is desirable.
  • Administrative skills.


  • Identify, report, manage and investigate deviations across all departments
  • Collaborate with the Head of Departments and management to investigate deviations and possible root causes.
  • Categorize deviations depending on the outcome of the investigation. Escalate deviations to the relevant head of departments and other interested parties.
  • Keep record and a detailed log of all deviations.
  • Determine which deviations must be considered for Corrective and Preventative Action (CAPA).
  • Develop Corrective and Preventative action plans for implementation including timeframe and responsible person to ensure similar future deviations are avoided.
  • Management and follow-up of corrective and preventative actions.
  • Assist departments with CAPA implementation and possible documentation and training to personnel.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of CAPA implementation through follow-up visits and inspections.
  • Identify, report, manage and investigate possible risks across all departments.
  • Keep record and a detailed log of all identified risks.
  • Develop Corrective and Preventative action plans to mitigate any perceived or actual risk.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of risk mitigation.


  • Language skills: English & Afrikaans
  • Leadership skills: Be decisive, able to give direction and to guide others, strategic thinking, exceptional time management skills
  • Mathematical skills: Adequate comprehension of basic mathematics skills.
  • Communication skill: The employee must be able to communicate with subordinates, fellow employees, and superiors.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Physical demands: The employee should be in a healthy physical condition.
  • Reasoning ability: Persuasive, decisive logical and the ability to make presentations.
