West Pack Lifestyle is a household goods retailer that offers a wide range of products for the home, including packaging, storage solutions, party supplies, stationery, toys, pet care, educational parry furniture, appliances, and decor. We have 5 stores, including a Pet Zone, located throughout Namibia and are committed to providing our customers with quality products and exceptional service.

 

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and driven Regional Manager to oversee our stores in Namibia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that drive sales growth and increase profitability, while also ensuring excellent customer service and operational efficiency across all stores.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a regional sales and marketing strategy that drives revenue growth and increases market share
  • Monitor and analyze store performance metrics, including sales, customer satisfaction, and inventory management, and take corrective action as needed
  • Ensure that all stores are staffed with skilled and motivated employees who provide excellent customer service and adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Implement training programs for store staff to improve product knowledge, sales skills, and customer service
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and costeffective product delivery
  • Ensure store presentation, housekeeping and cleanliness is at the highest standards by conducting regular, effective store visits. The frequency thereof shall be determined by the needs of the stores.
  • Maintain quality of the Company operations through the development and application of Company policies, procedures and standards. This includes maintaining the highest level of health and safety standards.
  • Remain abreast of competitor activity and prevent competitors from gaining market share through the development and implementation of appropriate marketing strategies and plans.
  • Ensure that all funds, physical assets and Company property are properly safeguarded and administered, and that capital expenditure programs are approved in accordance with established authority, budgetary parameters and Company policies.
  • Work closely with the corporate office to ensure consistency in branding, product assortment, and pricing across all stores
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies, including safety and security procedures
  • Maintain suitable and adequate documentation of all work performed.
  • Ad-hoc projects as may be required from you by management from time to time.
  • Actively assimilate the company values as described in the Group Value Statement, and actively practice same.
  • Ensure that you are acquainted with all relevant company Standard Operating Procedures and that you comply with same.
  • Comply with Company, Group and Associate Company policies, regulations and rules.
  • Manage regional expenses and budgets, including payroll, advertising, and other operating costs
  • Communicate regularly with store managers and corporate leadership to provide updates on regional performance, market trends, and other issues affecting the business
  • Provide leadership and guidance to store managers to drive employee engagement and retention

Qualifications:

  • Grade: 12
  • Degree or Diploma (Advantageous).

Experiences:

  • At least 5 years of experience in retail management, with a proven track record of driving sales growth and improving profitability
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and collaborating with corporate leadership
  • Knowledge of retail operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and customer service
  • Ability to travel regularly to visit stores within the region
