Job Description Provide engineering support and management functions on Credit and Pre-payment Metering systems, Installation Inspection activities and give direction on new developments in Renewable Energy technologies in the Systems Division.
Key Performance Areas
  • Provides an Engineering and Management function on Metering and Revenue Protection activities in the Systems Division.
  • Provides an Engineering and Management function on new installations, illegal connection inspections and quality of supply in the Division.
  • Develop standards and monitor implementation of Demand side management, Energy efficiency and Renewable Energy Systems.
  • Manage and control the expenditure on capital budget and prepare monthly progress reports on projects.
  • Perform administrative duties and supervise the work / job activities of staff members in the section.
Skills, Experience & Education BEng/BSc Degree (Electrical Engineering) or B-Tech Degree (Electrical Engineering) with specialisation in Electrical Engineering, Metering, Revenue Protection, Renewable Energy, Protection, Quality of Supply, Inspections and Load Control/Management Systems.

A minimum period of  six (6) years post qualification for Professional Engineer specifically in Metering, Renewable Energy and Quality of Supply and of the six (6) years, four (4) should have been on senior management level OR Eight (8) years post qualification for  Incorporated Engineer specifically in Metering, Renewable Energy and Quality of Supply and of the eight (8) years, six (6) should have been on senior management level.

Code B Drivers license and Registration as a Professional /Incorporated Engineer with the Engineering Council.
General Salary: N$870,972.00 p.a

Housing Allowance: N$348.384.00 p.a

Car Allowance: N$214,752.00 p.a
