1. Main Functions
1.1 Perform Services and Repairs:
- Conduct both minor and major repairs on vehicles, ensuring that services are performed efficiently and effectively to maintain the highest standards.
- Accurately diagnose issues with vehicles on the first attempt, ensuring the correct parts are ordered and fitted.
1.2 Reporting and Documentation:
- Accurately write and report on job cards, documenting all work performed and parts used.
- Provide continuous updates on vehicle progress to the Team Foreman, ensuring clear communication and transparency.
1.3 Production and Performance Targets:
- Meet production targets set by the company, maintaining a high level of productivity and efficiency.
- Meet Customer Experience (CE) targets, ensuring customer satisfaction with services rendered.
1.4 After-Hours Standby Duties:
- Be available for after-hours standby duties, responding to emergencies and ensuring timely service delivery.
1.5 Training and Development:
- Train trainees and apprentices, sharing knowledge and expertise to foster skill development and growth within the team.
2. Key Performance Areas
2.1 Service and Repair Execution:
- Perform services and repairs with precision, adhering to company standards and ensuring quality workmanship.
2.2 Job Card Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and detailed job cards, ensuring all aspects of the job are documented for future reference.
2.3 Diagnostic Accuracy:
- Diagnose vehicle issues correctly the first time, minimizing rework and ensuring customer satisfaction.
2.4 Communication and Updates:
- Keep the Team Foreman updated on the progress of vehicle repairs, ensuring alignment and coordination within the team.
2.5 Target Achievement:
- Consistently meet production and customer experience targets, contributing to the overall success of the team.
2.6 Follow-Up on Work-in-Progress:
- Proactively follow up on work-in-progress, ensuring timely completion and delivery of services.
3. Experience
3.1 Educational Background:
- Grade 12 qualification, with a formal qualification in Automotive Mechanics.
3.2 Work Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a qualified Technician in the automotive industry.
- In-depth understanding of the technical and administrative aspects of the motor and service industry.
3.3 Additional Requirements:
- Namibian Citizenship.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Computer Literacy, with knowledge of V10 software considered an advantage.
