Job Description PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To provide specialized Town Planning Technical Services to City of Windhoek and its residents by co-facilitating, guiding and implementing development needs with a specific focus on informal settlement upgrading and management so as to ensure sustainable urban growth and a quality living environment for all.
Key Performance Areas KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

    • Provide Specialized Technical Town planning skills to the organization.
    • Facilitate and coordinate informal settlement management.
    • Project Management for township development and informal settlement upgrading.
    • Assessment and determination of urban development needs
    • Promote and ensure compliance with Council policies, procedures and regulations on town planning and related urban development and management issues.
    • Undertake research in town planning and related fields thereto and document all such data.
Skills, Experience & Education REQUIREMENTS:

National Diploma in Town and Regional Planning or Land Management and proof of passing an accredited course in computer Aided Drafting and or Geographical Information Systems.

Experience required:

Three (3) years relevant experience.

Legal requirements:

Code B or BE drivers licence.
General Salary: PATTERSON GRADE B5

BASIC SALARY = N$245,316.00 PA

HOUSING ALLOWANCE = N$110,388.00 PA

TRANSPORT ALLOWANCE = N$28,488.00 PA

MUNICIPAL ALLOWANCE = N$21,708.00 PA
