Location: Superfarm, Mariental

Supervisor: Manager Agronomy

Grade: B1

Purpose of Position

To operate advance precision tractors, implements and equipment.

 QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:

  • Grade 10
  • Five years’ experience as a driver of tractors/trucks and agricultural machinery
  • Valid drivers license.
  • John Deere and Claas machinery will be an added advantage.
  • TLB and Front-end Loader operating procedures experience

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Operate agricultural machinery as instructed to prepare soil for seeding, crop Spray, fertilize and harvest
  • Transport seed, fertilizer and chemical to different fields
  • Transport harvested Silage, Maize kernel, Wheat to Superfarm
  • Collect and stockpile manure for broadcast spreading
  • Basic daily record keeping on tasked operations
  • Complete daily routine checklist’s on Machinery and Implements
  • Adherence to Health & Safety procedures
