Candidate Profile:
Tutor and moderators should:
• have a relevant and appropriate qualification at least two NQF levels higher than the subject they wish to teach;
• have a minimum of 5 years’ teaching or lecturing experience;
• have Advanced computer literacy skills;
• have their own computer, laptop or tablet;
• have internet access;
• be pro-active and have the ability to perform under pressure;
• have strong organizational skills;
• be able to prioritize and have excellent time management skills;
• have a high level of confidentiality, tact and discretion.
Duty List of Tutors:
• The tutor’s main responsibility is conveying the correct learning content in a professional and expert manner via different media and platforms including Office 365, e-mail, telephonically; social media, recordings and more.
• Administrative tasks:
• Compilation of assignments with memorandums;
• Compilation of question papers with memorandums;
• Marking of assignments and examination scripts;
• Compilation of a report on the marked assignments and examination scripts;
• Compilation of PowerPoint presentations.
Duty List of Moderators
• Moderation of assignments, examination question papers, power point presentations and marked examination scripts;
• Compilation of reports on the assignment, the question papers and the marked examination scripts.
