The U.S. Mission in Windhoek, Namibia is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the Public Health Specialist – Associate Director for Programs in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) office.
Salary: (NAD) N$655,244 – (NAD) N$655,244/Per Year
Series/Grade: LE – 0550 – 11

Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
- All selected candidates must be able to obtain and hold a: Security Certification.
- All selected candidates will be subject to a background investigation and may be subject to a pre-employment medical exam.
- Selected candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time four weeks upon receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.
Education Requirements:
- * Masters (MPH, MSHP) Degree or host country equivalent in public health, nursing, health policy, public administration, or Social work is required.

Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible public health or other development experience in service within Namibia is required.
Language: Level 4 – Fluent; speaking/reading/writing, may include the ability to translate English. This May be Tested.
Job Knowledge: Demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret, and utilize policy materials for health program planning. Excellent understanding of health services in Namibia and other international settings.
Skills And Abilities: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to work with all levels of staff in a team setting to accomplish program goals. Excellent oral and written communications skills are required in order to convey program policies, progress, technical requirements and to influence other collaborative organizations engaged in public health programs to adopt appropriate strategies for their program activities.
