LOCATION:Â Windhoek (AVIS)
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
To monitor the quality and safety of products produced in the factory and ensure that they are in adherence to set standards and product specifications, by performing product sampling and inspections. Continuously review and improve the production process to ensure that it is of adherence to the ISO standards and Food Safety standards.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:
- BSc food science and technology/ Microbiology degree.
- 2 years’ experience in a factory/ laboratory environment preferably in the food/ FMCG environment
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Product sampling, inspection & recording of results
- Conduct external milk farmers & trade audits to ensure adherence to Quality standards
- Collect, test and record samples as per sampling plan to monitor conformance to specifications
- Conduct hygiene and safety analysis and tests on factory machine swabs, hand swabs, food safety swabs and air plates
- Re-sample all out of specification results and report timeously to the Quality Control and lab Supervisor.
- Support the implementation and improvement of quality control processes
- Complete and maintain check sheets as per schedule to comply with Food Safety requirements
- Engage with and support Quality and Production teams to optimize the product quality and processes in line with ISO & Food Standards.
