PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To control the overall operation of the inventory department by correctly ordering of stock and resolving inventory discrepancies in order to maintain agreed stock levels.
QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE
- National Senior Level Certificate.
- 4 years’ experience in the food retail industry, with up to 2 years in an inventory environment.
ADVANTAGEOUS
- ARCH experience.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Plan and execute store stock counts, confirming deliveries and interdepartmental transfers.
- Resolve inventory discrepancies and report out-of-stock items to management.
- Print and compare daily price updates, updating shelf prices and verifying system accuracy.
- Ensure sufficient stock for promotions, maintain agreed stock levels, and liaise with suppliers for product availability.
- Oversee accurate stock take processes, investigate variance reports, and ensure resource availability.
- Ensure hygiene standards and health/safety regulations are met, maintaining equipment and cleanliness.
