Job purpose::

To identify, asses, and mitigate risks that could impact the bank’s operations, financial stability, and regulatory compliance to ensure that risk management frameworks align with Bank of Namibia regulations and international banking standards..

Key Responsibilities:

• Risk identification and assessment.
• Develop risk management strategies, policies and procedures, mitigation, and controls.
• Develop and implement controls and contingency plans.
• Stay up to date with current trends.
• Ensure adherence to the relevant industry regulations, monitoring and reporting.
• Act as a liaison between the Bank and regulatory authorities on risk-related issues.
• Provide monthly and quarterly risk reports to senior management and regulatory bodies.
• Engage with auditors on risk-related matters.
• Develop and implement risk awareness training for employees.

Key Requirements::

• Namibian citizen.
• Bachelor’s degree in commerce, finance, risk management, or a related field.
• Postgraduate qualification in Risk Management or Compliance will be advantageous.
• At least three (3) to five (5) years of experience in risk management within the banking or financial sector.
• Knowledgeable of Namibian banking regulations and ISO standards.
• Experience in fraud prevention, compliance monitoring, and risk reporting.
