Social Media Manager – O&L LEISURE (PTY) LTD

Location: Windhoek | Closing Date: 12 August 2025

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

 To lead and enhance the social media presence across all O&L Leisure accounts by executing content calendars, driving growth in engagement, and effectively managing online communities.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing, Advertising, Social Media Marketing, Communication, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Social Media Management or similar role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok), Canva, video editing software, social media business management platforms, and analytics tools.
  • Strong understanding of social media trends and digital marketing strategies.
  • Experience in Meta campaign execution and management.
  • Ability to produce detailed weekly and monthly reports for all platforms, including actionable insights and growth opportunities.
  • Passion for the hospitality industry and a genuine interest in creating memorable guest experiences through social media.
  • Strong administrative and project management skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with O&L Leisure’s marketing and business objectives.
  • Manage all social media accounts, including content creation, scheduling, daily posting, and community engagement.
  • Drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and online reputation management through innovative campaigns and trend-driven content.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, freelancers, and influencers to enhance social media reach and brand partnerships.
  • Monitor analytics, deliver detailed performance reports, and provide actionable insights for optimization.
  • Stay ahead of social media trends, competitor activities, and platform innovations to ensure a competitive edge.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all platforms by maintaining the social media style guide, policies, and CI standards.
  • Champion the O&L persona (“caring, passionate, authentic”) across all digital touchpoints.
