MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To plan and coordinate activities concerned with the design, construction, modification and maintenance of all mechanical equipment to ensure maximum equipment availability at optimum cost to achieve production targets including adherence to SSHER requirements.

Key Performance Areas:

• Participate in the maintenance, inspection and repair of equipment
• Coordinate the receipt of new equipment.
• Produce contingency plans and remedial actions to minimize operational and technical risks.
• Ensure maintenance is carried out in compliance to Company policies and procedures and work instructions.
• Determine maintenance project schedules and track progress.
• Identify downtime root causes and implement preventative maintenance programs to eliminate downtime causes.
• Identify and determine areas where deviations from standard RCM practices are acceptable. Investigate and resolve user problems, initiate system corrections, monitor and expedite system changes-in-progress and test corrections and enhancement.
• Analyse RCM data/reports, investigate causes of delays and deviation and implement action to optimise process performance and efficiency targets.
• Identify production losses and abnormal high maintenance cost assets. Adhere to the Life Cycle Asset Management (LCAM) process throughout the entire life cycle of new assets.
• Implement approved reliability improvement initiatives.
• Develop, investigate and implement enhancements to the reliability centered maintenance and reliability centered spares system.
• Provide input in preparation of the section’s annual operational budget.

Requirements and experience:

• BTech / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering with 3 years’ of Engineering experience.
• Experience in a Mining environment will be a distinct advantage.
• Exposure in asset management and repairs of open pit heavy duty equipment such as Haul Truck, Shovel, Wheel Loader, Drill etc.
• Proven experience in multi-disciplinary continuous improvement projects and exposure to research and development work into new / improved project.
• Exposure in equipment life extension and improvement of equipment reliability.
• Good track record of contract & contractor coordination.
• Valid Code B/BE Driver’s License.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To execute the purchasing functions and processes with an efficient clerical, data and document processing and control service in accordance with Swakop Uranium (SU) procurement policies and procedures to ensure the timely and cost effective supply of goods and services to the mine / plant.

Key Performance Areas:

• Execute and process materials, supplies and equipment orders, taking into account the best bid.
• Prepare bidding documents and supporting information.
• Ensure that purchase orders (PO) and contracts are properly recorded on systems.
• Verify accuracy of purchase requisitions in relation to terminology, scope of work and specifications.
• Ensure timely delivery of purchase orders.
• Prepare documentation required to ensure the accuracy of data relating to purchasing.
• Maintain records of materials and prices.
• Maintain a variety of manual and electronic documents, files and records to provide up-to-date reference and audit trail material for compliance.
• Provide data for procurement report requirements.
• Maintain communication standards with suppliers and end-users about purchase order status, changes or cancellations.
• Collaborate with end-user departments to document the purchase of goods and/or services.
• Provide feedback on supplier performance to assist with supplier evaluation and selection.
• Notify management on contract non-compliances and /or other contract related demands as they arise.
• Source and engage possible suppliers.
• Verification of supplier invoices and supporting documentation in line with contractual agreements and submit to relevant section for Goods Receipt and Services rendered.
• Manage supplier account statement and conduct reconciliations.
• Prepare payment approval for Finance processing.

Requirements and experience:

• Grade 12
• Diploma in Supply Chain / Procurement Management or related field.
• 2 years’ procurement experience in a supply chain environment.
• Experience in Purchasing, contract management, bidding process.
• Sound experience in customer and supplier relations.
• Sound experience of supply chain management practices and principles.
• Relevant Exposure in the Mining Industry would be an added advantage.
• Valid Code B or BE/ CE Driver’s License.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

To operate multiple earthmoving support equipment in a safe and productive manner in order to achieve production targets safely at the required quality and with due regard to the environmental standards.

Key Performance Areas:

• Report defects, safety hazards, damage or faults that require attention to dispatch and supervisor.
• Be on the lookout for people and other moving equipment and always maintain the appropriate following distance.
• Keep a manual tally of loads delivered, as and when required per site-specific.
• Perform pre-start inspection (360) to identify equipment defects.
• Perform a walk around/ post check inspection to check for oil/water leaks or damages and report any defect to Dispatch and Supervisor.
• Operate machine as requested by the maintenance team during repairs or service.
• Operate the earthmoving equipment, in compliance to all standard operating procedures, safety standards and procedures, to achieve machine utilization and production targets.
• Monitor the machine’s performance and condition and take appropriate action, according to operating procedure to minimize potential delays, equipment failure or damage.

Requirements and experience:

• Grade 12.
• Experience in operating heavy mining equipment is an added advantage.
• Code B or BE/ CE Driver’s License.
• Must meet the assessment requirements.
• Physically and medically fit for mining operations.
